Artist's Statement:

"The creative process, for me, is one of discovery.  I've never been inspired by a vision of the finished product--only by the sheer joy of creation.  The end result is always one I never could have imagined."

Brief Bio:

Nick Roes is an artist and author of 12 published books and hundreds of articles on a wide range of topics.  He's also appeared on many television and radio programs, including "Good Morning, America" and "Donahue".

Nick lives and works in Barryville, NY, where he is a member of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and the Barryville Area Arts Association.

Upcoming Showings:

CONNECTIONS GALLERY OPENING: Nick will be a featured artist at the opening of CONNECTIONS Magazine Artscene Gallery.  The exhibit is running from October 7, 2008 through January 15, 2009.  The opening reception is on October 30th from 5 to 8 PM.   Refreshments will be served.

Artscenes is a feature in Connections Magazine, and the Artscenes Gallery in CONNECTIONS Magazine corporate headquarters on Route 191(3305 Lake Ariel Hwy) in Honesdale, PA 18432.  For further information e-mail LNorella@echoes.net.

OPEN STUDIOS TOUR: The Art Society of Kingston (97 Broadway, Kingston, NY) has selected one of Nick's pieces for inclusion in their 2008 Kingston Open Studios Tour, October 4-25, 2008.  This citywide cultural event features professional local and regional artists, each of whom will be highlighted in the October edition of Art Works and on the Open Studios Tour website.

Riviera Towers: On November 16, 2008, from 11AM - 3PM, prints of some of Nick's more recent work will be available for sale.  Also on exhibit will be seldom seen originals on loan from the Collection of Ellisette Maresca.  It's at 6040 Boulevard East in West New York, NJ.

CHANT GALLERY EXHIBIT: From August 8 to September 7, 2009, Nick's work will be displayed at the Chant Offices at 106 East Hartford Street in Milford, PA.  Returning to Chant for the second time, Nick is paired in this exhibit with artist Grace Hatton.  The Opening Reception is August 8, 2009, from 5PM - 8PM, with refreshemnts and live entertainment.  For further information contact Laura Santelli at santelli@ptd.net or 570-296-7717.
